His adventures with a camera may have started as a hobby but have since developed into his greatest passion. He studied cinematography at the Polish National Film School in Lodz finishing a masters degree in 2012. A year later he began working on his doctorate degree at the same school.
Karol is fascinated with the wealth of tools and techniques available to modern filmmakers. Beyond being a proficient cinematographer Karol is constantly expanding his knowledge in the newest techniques of post production, special effects and 3D animation. Enabling him to create realistic illusions of imagined worlds.
His debut film as a cinematographer was "Look at Me" directed by Katarzyna Jungowska with Maciej Stuhr in the lead role and produced by Grażyna Szapołowska. The film was nominated for the Polish Independant film awards.
He has been the cinematographer on numerous commercial projects as well as documentary films. Karol has also worked with the camera department on two feature films "Stygmatic" and "Weekend" directed by Cezary Pazura.
